Aerospace Engineering (AE) at Illinois is the venue for the 2016 American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Region III Student Conference to be held April 1-2.

Organizers expect 100 students to attend from more than 25 schools in Region III. The conference provides a venue for students, faculty and industry professionals to interact and discuss current aerospace topics while participating in local social activities. The event will include a corporate mixer to serve as a mini career fair with representatives from aerospace companies that are local and from around the country.

The registration deadline is March 28 and can be made through the conference website.

Abstracts for papers will be accepted until February 22, with the deadline for papers on March 18. Presenters will be judged on technical content and communication skills, and monetary prizes will be awarded the top three winners in each category.

Students wanting to compete in the conference must be AIAA members.
